The mambot / plugin lets you style your content more flexible than joomla does without this plugin. You can create your own style using the patTemplate engine. Create global templates or define special templates for contentitems or categories and sections.

This plugin gives you all the data stored in the joomla tables as placeholders for your templates.

But that’s not all… You can also use exactly the same placeholders directly in your content! Just type a text like this “Hello # #visitor_name# #, nice to see you again. Your last login was # #visitor_lastlogin# #.” directly into your joomla content. The plugin generates something like “Hello Thomas, nice to see you again…”.

You are not restricted to the data and placeholders we offer you. The plugin has a flexible addon-system, where you can easily define your own queries to add placeholders on your own. So it is no problem to add information from other components. You can sort the queries, so you can use the results of other queries.

The addon-system also allows you to add “values”. Define your own placeholders from e.g. global variables – for example $my->id, which gives you the userid of the logged in visitor.

But we have added some more: you can create “form actions”. Build a form in your template / content and pass it to your own form-action. A simple form-mailer comes with this plugin to show you how it works. With this feature it is possible to create simple data-input forms, comment-systems, login screens and much more. We even have created small applications using this feature.

Not enough? OK. We also added some Javascript to your content. First, you can simply add the joomla-tabs directly into your content using simple placeholders. Do I have to mention that you can extend this with your own or 3rd party tab systems? And as a last feature, we support AJAX through the popular (and free) prototype JS-framework.

Pretty good for a simple joomla-plugin – isn’t it?

But we have to tell you, that this is (of course) no point & click solution! If you only want to use the content-placeholders, you don’t need to know anything about PHP & HTML. For the other features, at least basic knowledge is needed. But we have put this in very simple and basic functions, so the usage will be as simple as possible.

SOFTWARE LICENSE AND LIMITED WARRANTY

This is a legally binding agreement between you and Backauf Consulting GmbH. By buying, installing and/or using this software, you are agreeing to become bound by the terms of this agreement.

COPIES. You may make as many copies of the software as you wish, as long as you guarantee that the software can only be used on max. the number of websites (joomla installation) of licenses you own in any one instance. You may not distribute copies of the Software or accompanying written materials to others.

TRANSFERS. You may not transfer the Software to another person provided that you have a written permission from Backauf Consulting GmbH. You may not transfer the Software from one website to another. In no event may you transfer, assign, rent, lease, sell, or otherwise dispose of the Software on a temporary basis.

TERMINATION. This Agreement is effective until terminated. This Agreement will terminate automatically without notice from Backauf Consulting GmbH if you fail to comply with any provision of this Agreement. Upon termination you shall destroy the written materials and all copies of the Software, including modified copies, if any.

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY. Backauf Consulting GmbH disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and noninfringement.

OTHER WARRANTIES EXCLUDED. Backauf Consulting GmbH shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, exemplary, punitive or incidental damages arising from any cause even if Backauf Consulting GmbH has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Certain jurisdictions do not permit the limitation or exclusion of incidental damages, so this limitation may not apply to you.

In no event will Backauf Consulting GmbH be liable for any amount greater than what you actually paid for the Software. Should any other warranties be found to exist, such warranties shall be limited in duration to 15 days following the date you install the Software.
